Kateley's words

Here lately Kateley has been saying so much. Sometimes we have know idea what she is telling us others we get it completely.
MOVE! (Get out of my way)
dog
bye
dada
pawpaw
mama
mema (Emma)
Milbo (miller)
tephone
There it is
there you are
Boo
And when she gets really excited she jabberes on and on and uses her hands! It is so funny.
These are all I can think of off the top of my head. She has also learned how to blow kisses, its absolutely precious, I will try to get a picture of it.

Sunday night after a busy weekend.

This past weekend was busy, but alot of fun. Friday afternoon Lee, Kateley, Terry, Tela, and I all pilled into Lee's truck headed for Atlanta. Our first stop was my Aunt Teresa's house in Duluth to drop Kateley off for the weekend, and we headed to Athens for the game! This was my first bama football game and we had such a great time. I had a tough time getting the cheers down at first: everyone was doing the Roooooooooooll Tide, and I was screaming Waaaaaaaaaaaaaar Eagle! Ohh well, they only looked at me funny for a few seconds. it was such an awesome game, and I am so glad that we were able to get tickets and see it first hand. Sunday morning we headed back to Duluth to pick up Kateley who had two full days of being spoiled rotten. Once we got back to Valley, we were super lazy! Lee cooked breakfast for dinner, while Kateley and I made brownies. Hope every one has a great week! WAR Eagle & ROLL Tide!

West Point Dam 9-22-08

Halmark should get these two girls for all of their BEST GIRLS FRIEND cards!

This past Monday, Tela and I were both off from work and looking for something to do with the girls. We decided on West Point Dam. The girls wanted to feed the ducks, and you know we forgot to bring bread, so the duck were treated to chips and cookies. I think the ducks actually liked it. After the cookies were all gone, Kateley and Kylee wanted to walk and hold hands. Making our way over to the play ground we realized that the girls are really to small to play on that play ground, but we did alot of swinging and they were fine with that. After an hour of swinging we were all so tired. Poor Kateley did not make it out of the parking lot before she went to sleep. Sometimes I complain about there is nothing to do around the Valley, but after this summer I realize there is a ton of super cheap/free things to do, and see. You just have to get up and do it! Hope Ya'll have a wonderful weekend.

Last night

Last night was a long night. Kateley is getting several new teeth in, and its making her feel kinda yucky. So Kateley and I are tossing and and turning, her mouth hurts and I am thinking of MaggieJo, well all of a sudden she gets really close, throws her little arm around my neck and pats, as if telling me she knows everything is going to be alright! Finally we both fall asleep, still with her arm around my neck. She is such a sweet little girl.
Please continue to pray for Maggie Jo and her family. She was born just a few days before Kateley, so this is hitting close to home for us. I received an email from April last night saying they were getting ready to start her chemo. Also you can keep up with what is going on with Maggie at www.Carepages.com/maggiejorennie

For all you BAMA fans

Lee is trying to turn our baby into a Bama fan, but as you can tell by the look on her face she is not so sure its the right thing to do!

dove weekend

This Saturday was the opening day of dove season. Lee's great friend Josh came into town and stayed with us for the weekend. Jack and Charlotte Robinson were nice enough to open their house and farm once again for many of us to come out and shoot birds. We had so much fun sitting out on the field, listening to the Auburn game, and looking for birds. After many hours and two rain showers later I was ready to get back to the house. While we were out Ms. Charlotte and Jack had cooked a ton of great food. So we all ate, listened to the Bama game, and were entertained my many Jack and Jim Hamby stories! He had such a great time, and can 't wait til Kateley is old enough to come out with us for her first dove hunt. Thanks again to the Robinson farm crew for inviting us out.

Kateley loves to swim

A few weekends ago, Mrs. Faye and Mr. Holland Pascal were nice enough to let Kateley. Kylee, Tela and I come swim to their house for a swim. We all had a great time. Kateley loved playing in the outdoor shower area, trying to drink the water, and going down the slide. Kateley is definitely a little water baby. She loves every bit!

This child loves the water!

Attending were: Bob and Jennifer Walden, Jerry Levins, Dave, Kelcie , Bentley, and Mady Herrington, Lisa and Hoyt Burrow, Mary Fetner, Christine and David Holladay, Dennis and Tiffany Holladay, Kateley and Lee Walden, Gina Phillips, Shainna Yarbrough, and Toby Burrow. I don t think I missed anyone but if I did I am so sorry!

I am so behind in blogging about Kateley's first year. So I am going to try to catch up fast. For Mother's day Lee took Kate and I to the B'ham zoo. We all had a wonderful time!
